Between Everything and Nothing
Last Friday, IDC Sophomore group Between Everything and Nothing launched their first zine, DEFORMITY AS IDENTITY. The show at 3rd Ward in Brooklyn was really impressive, featuring a live DJ, plenty of art from IDC students, and a live fashion installation.

heico wesselius invited his good friend smita paul to present her business on monday, April 14, 2008.
"it is so inspiring to speak to and hear about
people who are perusing their dreams.
smita paul, a woman from india, came to
our class to show us her dreams becoming
reality. she has created a clothing company
dedicated to transforming and indian
tradition of hand looming into a western
trend. smita paul contributes to the well
being of india by designing these
handloom fabrics with a team of artists
and converting them into western style.
the handloomers are earning a higher
wage than they would normally, and also
continuing to do what feels natural to them
in their natural element. smita paul creates
dresses, scarves, and tops for women to
expand everyone’s perception on indian
material and expose her creativity."
